Grade 2 Kanji Practice Sheets

About these worksheets

Second-year kanji nearly double the first-year set: time and calendar words, colours, directions and the first everyday verbs — 曜 (day of the week), 週 (week), 顔 (face), 思 (think), 歌 (song). Many are the first characters built by combining grade-1 shapes, so the components you already know start doing visible work.

How to use them

1. Pick the kanji you want in the set above — or click Select all.
2. Click “Print / Save as PDF” to generate your sheet.
3. Print the sheet and practice yourself, or hand copies to your students in class.

Each row builds the character up one stroke at a time one after another, then gives a grey stencil to trace and blank squares to write it from memory.
